Compare the real deal, not just the incentive
A large closing-cost credit may be tied to a preferred lender with a higher rate or higher fees. Compare the rate, APR, points, lender charges, title costs and long-term payment. Also account for CDD assessments, HOA dues, lot premiums, upgrade pricing and future phases that may compete with your resale.
